Mad bells

I have been thinking a lot about the 1960s lately.
No, I've never been there, of course.

I'm a 90s child, so I'd say it was just a tad before my time.

I have just been inspired by MadMen. It happens to be one of my new favorite shows, thanks to Brock. I can't help but love the authenticity of it.... and it has really led me to appreciate that time.
I could do without all the infidelity and sexism but beggars can't be choosers

If you have never watched it, I highly recommend it. It stays true to that era, the good and the bad. I'm in the midst of season 2. Season 3 is sitting by the tv waiting to be broken into. I can't help but watch it all the time!

My favorite part of the show is Betty Draper. She is the definition of class and beauty. I like to think Betty and I would be pals. But really, she might be a little too classy for me.

Still, watching the show makes me wish I could dress like they did then. Men wore suits and stood up when women walked in the room. Women wore fitted dresses and were housewives. Things were just more simple.

In other news,
tomorrow I am going to have a sleepover.
a sleepover.
I don't remember the last time I had one of those.
I am visiting my friend Becca who is getting married this summer.
This will be the first time I have seen her since I moved to Cali, and I have missed her and her whole family so much! I am so honored to be a part of her wedding. Honestly, I am especially looking forward to helping her plan everything. I might commandeer the wedding and plan it all myself.
I have so many different wedding ideas that I need to have like 10 weddings to do them all.
kidding kidding.
I will definitely post pictures of what we are doing and planning along the way.
I love a good wedding.
Especially since it is one of my great friends who is marrying her long-term (5 years give or take) boyfriend who is also a friend of mine.
They are so cute.

I am so excited for that time in my life.
But for now, I'll settle for being a part of it all with her.

Have you ever planned a wedding? What was the hardest part?
Any recommendations?
